There used to be a myth that crocodiles shed tears

As they devoured their prey.

Today, across from me,

Your eyes are streaming.

You touch your cheek and say,

Look at this, I’m crying!

And everything in me wants to run,

Because you eviscerate those you overpower,

And then expect their sympathy.
